Adding products
Sync products from Shopify
Click Sync products to import your Shopify catalogue into the app. Each row in the table shows a product variant.
Find products with missing data
In the products table, a warning icon beside a title means required data is missing. To see only these items, open the Issues tab.
View and fix a product
Click a product title to open its detail view. Missing fields are flagged with a red pointer. The following fields are maintained in the Shopify Admin: SKU, Barcode, Weight, Commodity code (HS code), and Country of origin. Click Edit to open the product in Shopify and update these values.
Exclude products from DPD
Products that shouldn’t be sent to DPD (e.g. digital items or gift cards) should be set Inactive by choosing No in the Active field. Inactive products can be configured to be fulfilled automatically or not fulfilled. Choose the option that suits your workflow.
Product inventory
If you choose to sync your inventory in the warehouse with Shopify, individual products can be disabled from synching by selecting No in the Update inventory field.
For products that require batch control, enable the Batch control setting.
The app can notify you when warehouse stock reaches a minimum level. Set a Low inventory threshold per product to control when alerts are sent.
Send products to DPD
When first setting up the app, it is often easier to send the products to DPD directly in a CSV file by secure FTP if there are a large number of SKU's. New products can be added by the app.
To send a product to DPD, click More Actions then Send to DPD. It is only recommended to send products that are not part of an existing bundle on DPD's WMS.
Products and International orders
If you send orders to Northern Ireland or outside of the UK, every product should have a country of origin, commodity code and shipping description.
The country of origin and commodity codes (HS codes) are entered in the Shipping section of the Shopify product admin. The commodity codes (HS codes) should be 8 digits.
The shipping description should be entered in the products section of the DPD App.
